WEATHERIZATION CLERK

We are accepting applications for a full time (30 or more hours per week) Weatherization Clerk in our Weatherization Department located in Quincy, IL.

Responsibilities:

· Perform complex office automation duties

· Maintain and update program databases

· Produce a variety of reports proprietary databases

· Data entry of assessments into energy modeling system

· Monitor expenditures for accuracy

· Complete department file management

· Complete production and agency paperwork

· Cover in-bound calls as needed

Qualifications

· Minimum of a high school diploma

· Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

· Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office

· Related experience preferred

· Must be well-organized and have great attention to detail

Salary

$25,350.00 – $40,000.00 per year depending on experience

CAREER AND EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST – ADAMS

We are accepting applications for a full time (30 or more hours per week) Career & Employment Specialist in the Workforce Development Department in Brown, Pike, & Schulyer Counties. The position will be in these counties at least one day each week. Position might also be in Adams County weekly.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and interview applicants for appropriate program intake and enrollment
  • Develop an employment plan for clients that leads to a sustainable career
  • Partner with local educational institutions and social service agencies to assist clients
  • Provide individual vocational-supportive counseling to clients
  • Network with local employers to build connections for employment referrals for clients
  • Present workforce programs to local individuals, employers, and agencies
  • Keep detailed and accurate case notes on clients using several systems
  • Teach workshops on job readiness and career development
  • Market programs and resources through community resources and social media
  • Travel required to all counties of service
  • Responsible for providing contracted services for the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act program

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required
  • Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Related intake and/or case management experience preferred
  • Must be well-organized and able to coordinate appointments and paperwork
  • Ability to work with a diverse population in various settings
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

WEATHERIZATION ASSESSOR

Base Qualifications

  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Construction Trade Certification or Associate Degree (Preferred)
  • Construction Experience: 2 year (Required)
  • Driver’s License (Required)

Full Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Attain Building Performance Institute’s (BPI) Building Science Principles Certification within 30 days of employment.

· Attend 10-week training and attain Weatherization Training Center Program (TCP) certification within one year of employment.

· Attend classes and attain Lead Renovator Certification within one year of employment.

· Continuing education as required to maintain certification status.

· Conduct audits and/or quality control inspections on residential homes to determine required health, safety, mechanical, architectural and air reduction measures to be performed.

· Perform final inspections.

· Work with contractors to ensure that standards of service for measures are enforced and maintained.

· Data entry of assessments into energy modeling system.

· Maintain production goals.

· Stay up to date with funding and programmatic changes.

· Understand and comply with Energy Efficiency programs.

· Complete production paperwork including but not limited to: Mileage, time records, gas receipts, assessment, and quality control paperwork.

· Assist with facility maintenance.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Construction Trade Certification or Associate Degree (Preferred).

· High school graduate or equivalent (GED).

· Basic knowledge of residential construction.

· Familiarity with building codes.

· On the job experience preferred.

· Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry a minimum of 50 lbs. and work from a ladder.

· Good math, verbal, and written skills.

· Good people skills.

· Basic computer skills.

· Must be self-disciplined, show initiative and display good judgment.

· Valid Illinois Driver’s License and current insurance coverage.
