| Dear TRRCOPO, We’ve seen the first month of the year come and go and a lot is happening in our agency. Our next big thing is our Souper Bowl of Caring Campaign. We need your help to tackle hunger and you can find out more below on how to do that.Sincerely, TRRC Team  We kicked off our Souper Bowl of Caring campaign on January 30th. We will have donation locations in Brown and Pike Counties as we approach the Super Bowl. We will be collecting monetary donations and non-perishable food items for our food pantries in Brown and Pike Counties. Community Development The Two Rivers Land Bank Authority has started the process of selling acquired properties in Adams and Morgan Counties. You can view those properties at www.trlba.org. Community Services The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) started September 1, 2022, for all income-eligible households. Applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis through May 31, 2023. Households must be at or below 200% of the federal poverty level to receive a benefit from this program. The 30-day income guidelines for LIHEAP are based on Federal Poverty Guidelines, State Median Income and the number of persons living in the household. The income guidelines are as follows: 1-$2,265, 2-$3,052, 3-$3,838, 4-4,625. Check out the LIHEAP link for more information. LIHEAP provides one-time benefits to income eligible homeowners and renters to help with energy bills and for reconnection of energy service. Weatherization We are currently taking Weatherization applications in Adams, Brown, Pike, and Schuyler Counties for homeowners and renters. If you are interested in having your home updated to make it more energy efficient, please contact us at (217) 224-8171 and select the option for Weatherization. Workforce Development If you or anyone you know is in need of further vocational training, has a desire to complete the GED, or just needs assistance with a resume or job search then please contact our agency at info@trrcopo.org. |
