Our agency was happy to participate in the Multi Agency Resource Center (MARC) in Quincy on July 26th. Many agency partners were in attendance and the community received a lot of useful information and agencies were collaborating with each other to meet the needs of those in attendance.
Community Development
The website for the Two Rivers Land Bank Authority has gone live. You can check it out at www.trlba.org. There you will find information on the land bank and properties that will be listed for sale in Adams County, Quincy, Morgan County, and Jacksonville.
Community Services
Our energy assistance programs will be starting up in September. Watch for updates on our social media platforms. You can follow all of our social media outlets by following the links at the bottom of this email.
Weatherization
We are currently taking Weatherization applications in Adams, Brown, Pike, and Schuyler Counties for homeowners and renters. If you are interested in having your home updated to make it more energy efficient, please contact us at (217) 224-8171 and select the option for Weatherization.
Workforce Development
Fall enrollments for all colleges have already begun and our agency is collaborating with clients for the semester. The JWCC Truck Driver Training and Certified Nursing Assistant classes are filling up fast, so reach out to our office soon if you are interested in these programs.Childcare continues to be a barrier across the State of Illinois. West Central Child Care Center recently released updated income guidelines for participation and expanded options for childcare providers for the TRRC counties. This opens avenues for family members, such as an aunt or a grandmother, to be certified and eligible as a childcare provider.If you or anyone you know is in need of further vocational training, has a desire to complete the GED, or just needs assistance with a resume or job search then please contact our agency at [email protected].
