Community Development Planner

Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials is now accepting resumes for the full-time position.   

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Community Development, the Planner is responsible to complete assigned community development related programs and projects.  Assist with coordinating the activities and functions of regional community development, including planning, zoning assistance, and revolving loan fund program management. Responsibilities also include working with the Two Rivers Economic Development District and the regional EDA Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.

Salary/Benefits:  Minimum starting salary of $35,000 annually.  Full Benefit Package

Required Education/Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, public administration, political science or related field and four (4) years experience or a combination of education/experience in a related field.  Possess the capability of implementing grant program guidelines and the ability to handle orderly program development.  Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Demonstrated ability to administer programs in a moderately large and complex organization.  Must possess valid Illinois Driver’s License, have or be able to obtain auto insurance, and pass a Criminal Background Check.
