LIHEAP logoSeptember 2 is the first day to make an appointment to enroll in LIHEAP.  The Low Income Energy Assistance Program assists low-income  persons by offsetting the rising cost of home energy through direct financial assistance, energy counseling, outreach and education. Help can also be provided for natural gas, propane, fuel oil, coal, and electricity bills.

Eligibility is based on 150% of poverty level.  CALL THE NEAREST TRRC OFFICE FOR AN APPOINTMENT. Please bring a copy of your rent receipt if your utilities are included in the rent.

Reconnect Assistance is available if a household has been disconnected from an energy source or a delivered fuel supplier has refused to deliver and the tank contains 25% or less.
